Downtown San Diego

The view from the condo where our gracious friends allow us to stay. It is awesome. Especially during baseball season when there are fireworks afterwards. The day before we left some large trucks pulled up and started unloading and setting up a stage. They worked through the night and were still working when we left on Sunday. If we had stayed another 36 hours, we would could have seen Madonna live from "our" patio. No kidding. Not that I would want my kids to see that but it would have been cool!
One morning we had a few hours to kill before Lance needed to do some work. So we stepped aboard the USS Midway, a retired aircraft carrier. We weren't sure how the kids would do, touring a large ship, but they actually did great! They checked out every nook and cranny and really liked "flying" the various aircraft on board. Here is one of my boys on a helicopter.
My loves in the brig.

Of course, this reminds me of my first trip to California and first, and only, time on an aircraft carrier - with you. Actually, do you remember seeing the Navy S.E.A.L.S. and talking about them and Kimber warning us that we would never want to date one??? Ha!!! Anyway, hope your time with Linda was fun. Love and miss her - and California.
