Spring, we welcome you!

Thank you, Lord, for the beautiful weather the last few days. Thank you for bike rides, play grounds, swings, sidewalk chalk, and smiles. Amen.

Fun Valentine's Week

We have had a glorious week of festivities in the Baller house. Lots of Valentine surprises for the kids (well...actually, just the girls!) Katie had been begging to see the "Hannah Montana" movie, so I surprised her and we went Monday night. My friend, Sue, joined us and Katie was pretty much in awe the whole time. Don't you love those cool glasses? My first 3D movie they were paper! Here are a couple of pictures of our little rock star.
Sydney also had a fun week. I had a coupon and some "bear bucks" to spend at Build-A-Bear, so she got to go build something for her surprise. She is really into Cinderella, who has a dog named Bruno, so Syd made a Valentine dog and named it Bruno. To top it off, Lance surprised us all by bringing home some mini diamond earrings for the girls for Valentine's Day, which prompted Syd to declare that she needed to get her ears pierced "tomorrow!" So we went just this morning and got it done, she was a trooper and is loving her big girl earrings!
And just because he is so cute, I will also post a couple pix of my little man.

Space Bag, anyone?

My three year old has a fetish with the vacuum cleaner. Now after seeing the "Space Bag" commercial a few times, she is obsessed with getting one. (We like to watch PBS Sprout and they advertise the Space Bag on that channel quite often.) Just now we saw the commercial and she declared that she wants some for her birthday (8 months away,) and that she would like to try to suck all of the air bubbles out of the Space Bags all by herself with our vacuum. Strange.

Can I get a "Whoo-whoo?!"

And maybe a double pump? So psyched that the Patriots lost. Frankly, I didn't really care WHO would beat them. However, hindsight is that being a younger bro of last year's Super Bowl
MVP, I can't really think of a more deserving person than Eli. Great team effort, great game, great entertainment!

Bon Voyage, Mon Cher

Well, Lance left for London (again,) this afternoon. This will be a "short" trip as he calls it, only gone 5 days, two of which are over the pond. So I'm kicking into single-mom mode for the next few days, I've stocked up on chicken nuggets and our favorite, California Pizza Kitchen BBQ chicken pizza--FROZEN. I will make my batch of brownies tonight that will last the duration of his trip, my little indulgence for after the kidlets are in bed. :-) Now for a little randomness, any of you who know me at all, know that I adore the precious relationship my girls have with one another. They are so different and funny and simply delightful. Together it is the best of times...and on occasion the "worst" of times (albeit temporary!) I love them to pieces. Additionally, I love having a boy...we would have been thrilled to have another sister for our brood, but Will certainly adds a little quirkiness to the bunch. Here's to a great mommy sandwich! (And another one of my little man...couldn't resist!)
